A COLWALL artist has come up with his own way of sharing aspects of his life with others.
Eugene Conway creates a new painting every day, each one representing something in his typically English daily life.
The 48-year-old posts the paintings on his website imagefromthevillage.co.uk.
The oil paintings include a new-born lamb, a jar of marmite and toast, a cricket ball in anticipation of the new season, scenes of the Malvern hills and even a Cadbury Cream Egg.
“Worcestershire is in the heart of England, deep in the countryside and as far away from the sea as you can get,” said Mr Conway.
“Once you have scratched the surface you realise that it is vitally important and reflects the traditional image of English country life.”
He works entirely in oil paint on canvas or prepared boards, and sees the idea of creating a new piece of art every day as exciting.
He was inspired to create a daily log of his life by artists doing similar things abroad.
“I was aware of the internet and the new possibilities it offers, as well as other examples in America and the south of France,” he said.
“I wanted to fly the flag for Britain.”
When Mr Conway isn’t creating his daily artistic blog, he predominately works as a portrait painter on commissions.
