The ESO String Orchestra and Australian guitarist Craig Ogden will renew their collaboration with a concert in York Hall, Malvern St James on Saturday, May 16, at 7.30pm.
Together they will perform a programme of works by Mozart, Vivaldi, Django Reinhardt, Boccherini and Giuliani amongst others.
“The ESO is delighted to be bringing Craig back to Malvern,” said Peter Sheeran of the orchestra. “It will be a dynamic programme that mixes the baroque and the modern. York Hall with its terrific acoustic will be perfect for this concert, and with small forces it will be a very intimate occasion with a tremendous atmosphere. “ The full programme for the night is: Mozart's Divertimento in D K136, Giuliani's Concerto for guitar and strings, Django Reinhardt's Nuages, Fernando Sor's Introduction, Theme and Variations op 9, Vivaldi's Concerto for guitar in D, Ireland's Minuet and Rondo, Warlock's Capriol Suite and Boccherini's Fandango.
Tickets for this concert cost £10, £15 or £20 each and can be purchased from the ESO box office on 01386 791044. For more information, visit www.eso.co.uk.
