UPTON fund-raiser Malcolm Murray and his canine companion Hoochie Coochie have set off on a 300-mile trek to Land’s End.
The pair were given an official send-off from Memorial Hall by Upton’s mayor Tim Perry on Saturday (May 2).
They will be making the 300-plus mile journey to Land’s End in stages of about 10 miles, and hope to arrive at their destination in about a month’s time.
Their walk is raising money for local animal rescue centres, including the Worcestershire Animal Rescue Shelter at Deblins Green.
Mr Murray, a local league football referee, is no stranger to fund-raising, having raised in the region of £100,000 for charity through various events over the last 30 years.
