THIS Saturday, May 2 we are hoping for a huge response for our jumble sale at the village hall commencing at 2pm.

Ms Grizelda Adams (age 87) has been collecting and supporting the Hope Carriers Trust reaching children in need in Romania for 14 years and supporting other charities since she was 16 years old.

We have all seen the news showing the plight of these beautiful children. This is an opportunity when we can hopefully raise funds to not only help the orphanages but also the local villages, where the poverty is appalling and unemployment is very high. Houses are little more than huts with no electricity or fresh water. This mercy mission which started in 1997 by Arthur Etheridge from Hereford with a small car and trailer, now sends out at least three 42 tonne trucks per year packed with everything from toys to toilets, beds, bathroom suites, clothes, toiletries, stationary for schools and everything and anything in between which will help these poor children.People walk for miles when they know the trucks are arriving. This is a registered charity (No 1088515) based in Mill Street, Hereford.

Let's really pull out the stops for the children and have the biggest jumble sale to date. Our volunteers are all eagerly waiting to fill the stores with any jumble or unwanted items you may have. Please bring any items along from 9.30am on Saturday morning.

Thanking you once again for all your continued support, this is one occasion when every penny counts.
