THE remarkable tale of the woman who married one of the most remembered figures of the 20th century, Winston Churchill, will be told at the Conquest Theatre, Bromyard, in May.

Churchill’s Clemmie highlights the intensely loyal and affectionate relationship between Lady Spencer-Churchill and her husband During World War One, she organised canteens for munitions workers and during World War Two she was chairman of a Red Cross special fund to send aid to Russia.

She will be played by Rohan McCullough who began her career in the original cast of the musical Hair and has also been seen as Antigone in Oedipus at Colonus.
