A SOCIAL enterprise with a spring in its step raised more than £600 in Bromyard on Saturday (April 25).
Dance for Joy, at the Conquest Theatre, featured an amateur dance troupe headed by instructor Joy Simmonds.
They performed a wide variety of dances including traditional Indian, burlesque, and belly dancing in front of a packed auditorium of 150 people.
Money raised during the event will be ploughed back into community arts-related projects.
Mrs Simmonds said: “I not only want to give people the opportunity to dance, I want to help inspire and support local people who have a talent for singing or playing an instrument.
“We decided that a showcase for local singers and dancers would be a great way of raising money which could then be used to purchase instruments or pay for lessons.”
