We are requested to announce that a garden fete, combined with athletic sports, is being arranged by the Hanley Castle Nursing Association, to be held by the kind permission of Miss Huntingdonm, in the grounds of Blackmore Park, on the afternoon and evening of June 2nd next. An attractive programme, including several novel features, is being prepared and will be announced later.

Malvern Post Office drivers have 'clocked' a total of more than three-quarters of a million miles in three years without being involved in a collision. This was stated by Major W M Wicke (postmaster) at a presentation of safe driving awards at the Lygon Arms, Link Top, on Wednesday.

Councillors are recommending rapid-turnover parking at Malvern's Grange Road car park when it is returned to public use later this year. Malvern Hills District Council's public health committee agreed it should be used at a cost of 10p for 45 minutes only.
