A RELEGATION battle was won by Welland Juniors away at Worcester Raiders which took them to safety.
Both teams were up for the bottom of the table clash and looked capable of winning the game.
If Welland had taken their foot off the peddle at any stage during the game the Raiders side would have undoubtedly got back into the game.
Welland were 3-0 up at half-time after Luke Wellham got the opener with his 30th goal this season in all games played by Welland, scoring his second later in the first-half and Charlie Wasley scored the other, making it three.
In the second-half, Ben Morgan played a more attacking midfield role and grabbed two goals. Gareth Howells moved up from defence and scored.
After hitting the crossbar on a previous attempt, Mikey Catherall also found the net making it seven.
Ryan Williams celebrated a clean sheet in goal and Mikey Catherall won the man-of-the-match award for keeping the pressure on the Raiders defence.
