A HARD-fought match saw Broadway going away with the spoils. The match began at a fast pace with the hosts dominating the first 15 minutes of the game with keeper Josh King playing out for the first time this season, and Nathaniel Turner both coming close to opening the scoring.
Injuries to Ashley Hughes early in the game saw Wanderers begin to struggle with the pace of the game and it was not long before Broadway scored their first. With only five minutes to half-time, Wanderers were forced to make a substitution through injury introducing their in-form top goalscorer Simon Wikeley which saw him at times boss the midfield with his hold-up play and outstanding passing.
The second-half began with Broadway on top and coming close to scoring only for stand-in keeper Jordan Booton to make some good saves and make-shift defender Kieran Bell made some hard challenges to keep the scoring down.
With only 10 minutes gone in the second period, Wanderers began to struggle with the pace of the game and were undone with some outstanding play by Broadway. Wanderers’ man-of-the match was Booton. Wanderers’ next match is away to Warndon Village Pumas.
