AFTER getting three points at Evesham in their last division one league game before Christmas, Welland Junior u14s enjoyed a great day out at the Ludlow SBS Stadium, home of Ludlow Town.
The game was played on artificial turf which Welland found difficult to deal with in the first-half, having never played on it before.
Ludlow created many chances and were 2–0 up at half-time, with Welland struggling to control the bounce and extremely fast ball.
Welland managed to get control of the ball in the second half and judged the strength of the bounce better, then embarked on taking the game back to Ludlow.
Three great goals were enough to win the day, and make the journey a successful one.
The man-of-the-match award went to Ben Morgan for great control of the ball on a difficult surface.
Ludlow FC have agreed a return trip to Welland at the end of the season. Welland Junior u14s now look forward too two quarter-final cup games in both the League and the County Cup.
