Oldbury Park Tigers Golds 2 - Malvern Town Wanderers U11s - 0.
Oldbury Park won a well-fought game that started a little bit as if it was the first game of the season. Malvern Town looked good in defence and dealt well with the steady stream of attacks by the Oldbury Park forwards. But as the game wore on, Oldbury's superior passing began to pay dividends and it was only down to some some last ditch tackles and some excellent goalkeeping by Josh King that Malvern were still in the game at half time.
Oldbury sneaked ahead with a well worked goal by Aidan Clarke and were soon 2-0 up after a goal from Nathan Millbery and the Oldbury team went looking for a third that would have wrapped the game up. But more sturdy defending by the Malvern Town team kept the home team out and another flying full length save from Josh King that he probably had no right getting near, quite rightly earned him the Man of the Match title for the game.
It was a good game played in excellent spirit and a credit to all the players taking part.
