NEWTOWN started their season in fine style with an emphatic away day win.
The visitors took the lead with the only goal of the first-half when Sam Daffin whipped in a wonderful cross for Kyle Stimpson, who saw his header saved by the goalkeeper and Luke Simpson slotting home from two yards. Newtown had a lot of possession without troubling the home keeper.
Wizards gave a good account of themselves in the first half and only good defending by Daryl Davis and Shane Abel kept them at bay.
The second-half was all Newtown, who scored a further eight goals without reply.
Goals from Luke Simpson twice to complete his hat-rick, one each from Sam Daffin, Kyle Stimpson and keeper Joe Crews and a fine hat-rick by Alex Doyle.
