ESTONIA is beautiful and the people are friendly, as we've already mentioned previously. However, enough is enough and it is time to head for Latvia and onwards, if only we could leave Estonia!

We spent yesterday riding our unladen bikes across some fantastic sandy coastal tracks. Aside from our wrong turn into the territory of a HUGE angry dog (our instructors would have been amazed at the speed of our sliding U-turns!), the sun was shining and the coastline was deserted and stunning.

Returning by about 7pm, the girls headed for the supermarket (whilst I watched the Olympics in Estonian!) to buy dinner. Upon leaving the supermarket, they discovered the calling card of Ramu the sock-and-sandal wearing mechanic that read: '20.08.2008 We have Holyday. Open 21.08.08. Sorry'

NOOOOOOOOO! It seems as though to be a tourist here is to become a captive and we are close to having stayed at our one night campsite location for a whole week.

We have been assured that the shop will be open and the parts ready by 10am tomorrow morning, but if not please send help! Could this be the end of the trip? Will Ramu take us to see his home, only to lock us in a cage in his basement with the rest of the tourists?

Trying to see the funny side, we are heading for Parnu's water park to spend the day acting like 5 year olds in the hope that tomorrow we can make it through Latvia and camp in Lithuania tomorrow evening. As I said before, if the GPS doesn't move then we haven't. Also, the Estonian tourist board may well be monitoring our blogs in a bid to keep us here indefinitely - but for the time being we have mini Mars bars so can survive maybe another 2 days...!

Stay tuned for the hopeful movement of Team Enduro or to begin wiring money to the government to set us free and allow us to continue on our way.
