CALLOWBROOK Swifts Junior Football Club was launched on April 30, 1996, by now club president and U18 manager Steve Rudge.
Based at Reaside School playing fields, Rubery, South Birmingham, the first season record of one win, two draws and 22 losses would have seen many people give in, but thankfully for us, Steve and some loyal helpers were made of sterner stuff.
In 2001 we were one of the first clubs in Birmingham to gain FA Charter Standard status and twelve years on, with the help of many volunteers, Callowbrook Swifts JFC have gained various honours and have grown to 13 boy’s teams (U7 to U18) and one U14 girls team playing in the Mercian, Stourport and Central Warks Leagues along with a new U16 Supported Ability team, an U13 girls team and U6 soccer school starting this summer.
