MALVERN is the venue for one of a series of football coaching sessions for girls being offered by Worcestershire Football Association, in partnership with Kidderminster Harriers.
The free session, aimed at girls aged eight-11, is on Tuesday, August 12, on the Malvern College playing fields, off Court Road, at 10am-12.30pm.
These coaching sessions are designed to get more girls aged 8-11 playing football in the county of Worcestershire, as well as to obviously strengthen their footballing ability.
Any new players turning up to the sessions not already attached to a club will be pointed in the direction of their local club as required, and those who show quality may be invited to trial at the Girls Centre of Excellence.
By providing the girls with the opportunity to gain quality coaching for free, the WFA sees these coaching sessions as a fantastic opportunity to get more girls playing football. Although some of the girls attending the sessions may be invited to trial at the Centre of Excellence, they will also be provided with details of their local girls clubs.
The other sessions are on Monday, August 18, at Bishop Perowne High School, Worcester, and Wednesday, August 27, at Baxter College, Kidderminster.
For further information or to confirm your attendance at these sessions, please contact Jenny Burchill, Girls and Women’s Football Development Officer, on 01905 827261.
