TRAFFIC was at a standstill after a crash near the Malvern Aldi.
Police were called to the smash on Townsend Way, near Aldi, at around 1.30pm on Tuesday (November 26), around ten minutes after the ambulance service was sent to the scene.
A woman was later assessed by ambulance staff following the crash however she did not wish to go to hospital.
The crash resulted in heavy traffic for around an hour with people being urged to avoid the area if possible.
Two ambulances were called to the scene where, on arrival, they found the two cars involved in the crash.
People took to Facebook to warn of the crash and to extend their well-wishes to those involved.
A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: "We received a call around 1:30pm on Tuesday, November 26, with a report of a collision on Townsend Way in Malvern.
"The incident involved two cars."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Townsend Way in Malvern just after 1.20pm.
"Two ambulances were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found two cars had been involved in a collision.
"There was one patient, a woman, who was assessed by ambulance staff but did not wish to go to hospital so was given self-care advice and discharged at the scene."
