WINTER Glow, which claims to be the biggest Christmas event in the West Midlands, has returned to Malvern Showground.
So we went along to check out this festive extravaganza for ourselves.
The event opened on Friday, November 22 and after the snow we’d had earlier in the week, it didn’t take much persuading for my family to get into the Christmas spirit.
We kicked off our evening with a walk around Winter Glow’s Christmas market - there is a good selection of independent retailers and a choice of street food, too.
It’s free to enter the market and soak up the festive atmosphere - but all of the other attractions do come at an additional cost.

Next we went for a wander around the Light Trail. Having been around the trail last year we knew how cold it gets, because of how open the showground is, so we remembered to wrap up warm.
But anyone who is planning a return visit will be pleased to hear the trail has been laid out differently and there are a number of new light displays to see.
Some are interactive and there is a new story on the panels dotted around the trail, encouraging children to follow the tale of the Light Guardians.
There’s no big wheel this year but the fairground is bigger in general and does include Santa’s runaway train, teacups, the funhouse, dodgems, waltzers and bungee trampolines.
Winter Glow’s ever-popular indoor ice rink is back, with 45-minute time slots started every hour, on the hour.
You can even book skating parties for little ones throughout December with either a Frozen or Marvel theme.
New at Winter Glow this year is UV Glow Crazy Golf. There were plenty of families trying this out when we visited and we thought it was a nice touch that different sized clubs were available so even younger family members could join in.
Of course, a big part of Winter Glow for many families is visiting Father Christmas himself. The Santa Experience features multiple areas including his toy workshop, elf academy, bakery and grotto - and lasts up to two hours.
Parking is free at the showground and event runs until December 31.
