WORCESTER is bracing itself for another round of floods as the aftermath of Storm Bert sends a surge of water down the River Severn.
North Worcester is expected to face the worst of the flooding later today (Monday).
Pitchcroft will see a peak of around 4.6 metres to 5.1 metres this evening, with Waterworks Road, Newport Street and Pitchcroft Lane all affected by rising waters.
High water levels are expected to stick around Barbourne until Thursday (November 28).
In south Worcester, Quay Street, South Quay, Diglis Avenue and Hood Street are all expecting flooding and Diglis is predicted to peak between 4.3 metres and 4.8 metres on Wednesday afternoon (November 27).
Flooding has been described by Floodline as "imminent", with Court Meadow Caravan Park
The water will peak at Kempsey Yacht Club on Monday evening with a height of 6.6 metres to 7.0 metres.
A spokesperson for Floodline said: "We are closely monitoring the situation.
"Our incident response staff are checking defences and liaising with emergency services and local authorities.
"Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded."
