The event will feature seasonal music and winter words by authors such as Dylan Thomas, Laurie Lee, Charles Dickens, Tove Jansson, and Louisa May Alcott.

Music lovers can look forward to Vivaldi’s Winter, Prokofiev’s Troika, In the Bleak Midwinter, and well-loved carols, jigs, and folk tunes.

Ms Ormonde said: "I'm thrilled to be performing with the Orchestra of the Swan for this delightful celebration of winter words and music.

"Come and join us for this seasonal treat.

"G&Ts are, of course, optional.

"See you there, darlings."

Ormonde is a well-known radio voice, having played Lilian for more than 20 years.

She is also an experienced film, TV and theatre performer, with roles in Casualty, Brookside, Waiting For God, and Grange Hill.

She has recorded more than 400 plays and short stories for the BBC and regularly appears with fellow cast members in stage shows.

Her podcast, One Stiletto in the Grave, with co-writer Jane James, is currently proving popular online.

The orchestra returns to Malvern following their success with Red Sky at Sunrise – Laurie Lee in Words and Music, starring Anton Lesser.

Under the artistic direction of Le Page, the orchestra showcases a blend of classical and non-classical music.

The orchestra has been in the Top 40 Classical Charts for their last five albums, was nominated for a Grammy award in 2022, and has a 14 million global audio streaming audience.

Tickets are currently available for purchase.

The performance begins at 7.30pm and tickets start from £22.
