THE SNOW may have stopped falling on Worcestershire for the day, but there will still be a cold bite in the air this week.

The county experienced its first snowfall of the season on Tuesday (November 19), when much of Worcestershire was covered in a blanket of white, but a different type of cold condition is set to plague pedestrians and drivers alike in the coming days.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for icy conditions across the south of England until Wednesday morning (November 20) and the Weather Outlook has predicted that frost is almost certain to hit Worcestershire over the next few days, with a 95 per cent chance on Wednesday, 45 per cent on Thursday (November 21) and 85 per cent chance on Friday (November 22).

Sadly for anyone who was hoping for November to remain white, it looks unlikely there will be anymore snowfall this month.

The Weather Outlook has forecast an 18 per cent chance of snow on Friday and a nine per cent chance on Saturday (November 23), but it is unlikely to stick around as, according to the Met Office, temperatures may reach as high as 14c in the evening.

Showers are expected throughout the day and will hopefully not bring a dampener to Worcester's light switch-on.

After a brief stint of warmth, the temperatures may begin to drop again into the following week, with the end of the month and start of December still too far away to predict any more snowfall.
