Moose

Age - 2 years

Breed - Golden Retriever

Moose needs to be the only pet in an adult-only home as he has some guarding issues so will need help with this.

He needs a specific set up in his new home - an open-plan environment won't be suitable for him.

Before he can be adopted, Moose's new family will need to meet him several times at the centre.

Things to consider before adopting a pet

Dogs Trust said: "He has heaps of potential but is going to be a bit of a project dog who will need owners that are going to put in the work and management required."

Jax and Polly

Age – 4 years (Jax) and 7 years (Polly)

Breed – Terrier/Collie cross (Jax) and Chihuahua/Terrier cross (Polly)

Jax and Polly are hoping to find a new home where they can both continue to live together and they’ll need to be the only pets.

Polly can get worried and she wants to avoid handling at times so the pair need an adult-only home.

Dogs Trust added: “Jax is fabulous, cuddly boy who just loves to play. Polly is a dainty little lady who will show her snuggly side once she knows you. Together they are a terrific team and we’re hoping they find their perfect match together.”

Hector

Age – 1 year

Breed – Siberian Husky

Hector is looking for an adult-only home as he is friendly but unaware of his size and strength. He can also do some puppy mouthing and nipping.

He needs a large and secure garden and he’d benefit from sharing his new home with another dog or multiple dogs that match his energy.

Hector would need to successfully mix with another dog/s at the centre before he was rehomed with one.

He also needs to continue with his training.

Buzz

Age – 1 year

Breed – Border Terrier cross

Buzz is looking for a new home where any children must be of a secondary school age as he can sometimes nip because he’s a puppy.

He can’t live with another dog for now but he can enjoy walks with dog friends. However, he might be able to live with a cat but introductions would need to be slow as he hasn’t lived with one before. Dogs Trust can help with this.

Elmo

Age – 3 years

Breed – Lurcher

Elmo would like to live in a quite and adult-only home and he’ll need to be the only pet because he can be reactive to some dogs.

He wears a muzzle for walks as he does have a chase drive and he’ll need some work on having dog friends for walks.

Elmo needs a secure garden and will need to avoid busy roads as he chases traffic.

Reggie

ReggieReggie (Image: Dogs Trust) Gender – Male

Age – 1 year

Breed – German Shepherd

Reggie needs a quiet and adult-only home so he can build his confidence.

Find out more about Reggie via the Dogs Trust website.

He’d be best suited to walks in low dog-populated areas as he can get frustrated with other dogs when out and about.

Reggie has a heart murmur which is being monitored and he takes pain medication for hip dysplasia.

The centre will talk potential adopters through his medical needs and encourages them to still come forward if they’re interested in offering Reggie a home.
