Dozens of budding entrepreneurs attended a digital training day in Malvern.

The ‘Digital Garage’ event was hosted by West Worcestershire MP Dame Harriett Baldwin and led by experts from tech giant Google.

The training, held at Malvern Hills Science Park, included sessions on using generative artificial intelligence and digital marketing, as well as one-to-one mentoring.

The event is part of a nationwide initiative by Google to boost people's digital skills and embrace technological opportunities.

Dame Harriett said: "There’s a lot of talk about how artificial intelligence will change the way we work but talking to people attending the training sessions, there is a real need to get into the facts, not the hype.

"It was great to see so many young, keen entrepreneurs and I was personally delighted that a large majority of the group were women starting their own journeys into business.

"Although it was a Google-led event, the experts were able to help people out to understand how to use all the technology products to grow their businesses.

"I’m thankful to Malvern Hills Science Park for hosting this get-together and I am hopeful that it will inspire a cohort of young entrepreneurs to succeed in West Worcestershire."
