A stage adaptation of a popular supernatural romance film coming to Malvern has announced a star-studded cast.

Ghost the Musical will have a six-night stay at Malvern Theatres.

The cast has been announced for the show, coming to Malvern from Monday 25 to Saturday, November 30.

Rebekah Lowings (The Sound of Music) and Jacqui Dubois (People, Places and Things) will reprise their roles as Molly Jenson and Oda Mae Brown respectively.

Josh St. Clair (Frozen) will star as Sam Wheat and James Mateo-Salt (Bonnie and Clyde) as Carl Bruner.

Les Dennis will play the roles of Hospital Ghost and Lionel Ferguson.

Known for his extensive screen credits, Dennis has also starred in West End shows Only Fools and Horses The Musical and Hairspray.

Jules Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) will reprise the role of Willie Lopez, with Garry Lee (Everybody's Talking About Jamie) as Subway Ghost, and Tanisha Butterfield (Sister Act The Musical) as Clara.

The musical, based on the hit 1990 film starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg, tells the story of Sam, who, after his tragic murder, tries to communicate with his girlfriend Molly using a phony storefront psychic.

The musical will feature songs co-written by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart and includes The Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody.

The musical has been adapted by Oscar-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin.

It will be directed by Bob Tomson with choreography by Alistair David.
