PLANS have been revealed for a new pizzeria in Malvern Link to become 'Worcestershire's first drive-thru pizza place.' 

Mojitos Rum Bar and Pizzeria is set to open its doors on Quest Hills Road next Friday, October 4.

Its owner Kyle Hassall was originally intending to open last weekend, but has been hard at work trying to ensure everything was ready to make a success of the venture.

Part of his plans are to introduce a drive thru option at Mojitos, which is thought to be the first of its kind in Worcestershire.

Should everything go according to plan, Mr Hassall is hoping to launch the drive thru option in November. 

He told the Gazette: "Its not something we can do initially but we are hoping to launch it soon. 

"We think people will really like it, being able to just turn up and have their pizza given to them before driving along.  

"Its something really different and because we are quite near the train station I think a lot of people will swing by and get a quick pizza while they are driving home."

Mr Hassall said the kitchen will have the pizza ovens installed within the next few days. 

Initially the opening hours will be limited to Friday evenings and all day Saturday however these will be extended to five days a week from December.

As well as the takeaway, Mojitos will also be providing the food for the Express Inn, which is re-opening on Saturday. 

Mojitos has had a takeaway open in Upton-Upon-Severn for around five years now and provides around 20 different kinds of pizzas. 

Customers will be able to get their food delivered or have a mojito while they are waiting for their takeaway. 

The Mojitos pizzeria menu includes the hugely popular 'Revelation' pizza, which contains beef brisket, nduja, red onion, smoked cheese and chilli jam. 

As well as serving fresh artisan pizza, the venue also specialises in mojitos of all different flavours ranging from blueberry and passionfruit to raspberry. 

Its most popular mojitos in Upton-Upon-Severn are blueberry or coconut, and Mr Hassall said he can't wait to see whether that stays the same in Malvern Link.

Mojitos Pizzeria in Upton-Upon-Severn currently has a five-star rating on TripAdvisor and is currently available for delivery on Just Eat.
