THE NEW owners of a popular Malvern pub are looking to usher in the next chapter of a local classic as they prepare to re-open.
The Express Inn is re-opening its doors on Saturday (September 28) after many months of being closed to the public.
The pub on Quest Hills Road has new landlords and has undergone a complete makeover since it was last open for business.
There have been new pipes and taps installed, new windows, work done to the pub cellar, new paint on the walls and new gambling machines installed.

The back of the pub has also been completely re-landscaped.
Overall, the work has taken three months to complete.
The new team running the show at The Express Inn already has many years of experience managing pubs and already run several establishments in Worcestershire.
A spokesperson for the new management team said: "The pub had lost its way and we are looking to give it a new lease of life, but we're still a work in progress and have plenty of work still to do.
"The management has had experience running pubs for years so I am extremely confident we can make a success of this.
"We're thrilled to be able to invite people to this next chapter of a local classic and traditional pub.
"We wanted to reimagine this space by keeping its charm while adding the touch of the new.
"We are extremely community-driven and want to look out for everybody so that will be at the heart of what we do with the pub."
The food at the pub will be provided by Mojitos Rum Bar and Pizzeria, which currently has a takeaway in Upton-Upon-Severn.
The pub will be officially re-opening its doors to the public at 6pm on Saturday.
The Express Inn has previously been called the 'best pub in Malvern' by punters reviewing it on Facebook.
The reaction to the impending re-opening has been very positive on social media, with one person saying it was 'great news, as it used to be a good boozer.'
