75 years after the publication of Orwell's novel, the adaptation explores a world under strict regime control, where independent thought is a distant memory.

The story follows Winston Smith, played by Quartley, who starts a diary on April 4, 1984, an act that puts his life at risk.

Winston's secret love affair with Julia, played by Wyld, further angers the authorities, but the couple must also navigate the treacherous intentions of the enigmatic O'Brien, played by Allen.

O'Brien's role in the lives of Winston and Julia remains uncertain, as he may either assist them in overthrowing the regime or expose them to their worst fears.

Ryan Craig, known for works like Charlotte and Theodore, adapted this version of 1984.

Lindsay Posner, who has directed successful West End transfers of Noises Off and A View From The Bridge, directs the production.
