A popular men's choir will kick off its new programme with an afternoon concert.

The Malvern Male Voice Choir, now 102 years old, will perform its new concert, 'Autumn in an Afternoon', which will feature a special performance by keyboard duo Philip Holland and Peter Johnson.

They will perform arrangements of music by Mozart, Grieg, Elgar, and Karl Jenkins for organ and piano.

The choir, led by musical director Charles Pavey, will perform a variety of popular and traditional songs, including favourites from musicals, films, and a popular TV theme with a seasonal message.

There will also be 1960s pop, including a Beatles classic.

Mr Pavey said: "This is the choir’s first performance after its summer break and celebrates what makes autumn special.

"The choir is very pleased to welcome Philip Holland and Peter Johnson although they are already both regular performers at Christ Church.

"Philip is in fact in charge of music at Christ Church where he is the organist and Peter too is an organist at St Matthias Church in Malvern Link."

The choir will perform at Christ Church near Barnards Green on Saturday, September 28 at 3pm.

Tickets cost £12, with free entry for under 18s.
