TREES encroaching on the front of a house in Malvern Wells will be cut back.
Work will also be carried out on a hedge and a branch blocking light from a lamppost.
The owner of a home in Wells Road has been given permission by Malvern Hills District Council to carry out the work.
Planning documents show a western red cedar and a leylandii, both about 30 feet in height, are encroaching on the house and could cause damage to nearby telephone lines.
A laurel hedge and a beech tree are also said to be blocking light from a lamppost, while the hedge is also encroaching onto the A449.
The council said it recommends a qualified tree surgeon carries out the work, but has no objection to it taking place.
