A POPULAR pizzeria selling artisan pizzas and mojitos  will be opening a new venue in Malvern Link later this month.

Mojitos Rum Bar and Pizzeria, which has a takeaway on the High Street in Upton-Upon-Severn, will be opening its doors at the kitchen of the Express Inn on Saturday, September 21.

Following the grand opening, the pizzeria on Quest Hills Road will operate as a takeaway every Friday and Saturday between 5pm and 10pm until the New Year, at which point it may look to open on more days. 

The new venue has also brought four new jobs to the area.

Mojitos has been open in Upton-Upon-Severn for around five years now and provides around 20 different kinds of pizzas. 

Although there will be a slightly reduced pizza menu in the Malvern Link, there will be an expanded list of sides for customers to try. 

New dishes on the menu will include onion rings, loaded fries, garlic bread and homemade desserts.

Owner Kyle Hassall told the Gazette around 50 per cent of the Upton venue's deliveries come from Malvern, even though their services only go as far as Great Malvern.

He added he was sure his first venture into Malvern Link would prove a success.

"We've been planning this for a while so it is really good to see this finally opening. 

"The reaction from people in Malvern Link has been good so far, a lot of our customers that live in Great Malvern are very excited about it. 

"We are also looking forward to trying out our new items on the menu.

"There is a good team in place with a lot of knowledge so I have no doubt it will be a success."

The Mojitos pizzeria menu includes the hugely popular 'Revelation' pizza, which contains beef brisket, nduja, red onion, smoked cheese and chilli jam. 

As well as serving fresh artisan pizza, the venue also specialises in mojitos of all different flavours ranging from blueberry and passionfruit to raspberry. 

Its most popular mojitos in Upton-Upon-Severn are blueberry or coconut, and Mr Hassall said he can't wait to see whether that stays the same in Malvern Link.

Mojitos Pizzeria in Upton-Upon-Severn currently has a five-star rating on TripAdvisor and is currently available for delivery on Just Eat.
