Jeremy Clarkson has banned James May from his new pub in the Cotswolds.

The 64-year-old recently purchased The Windmill in Asthill near Burford for around £1,000.

After renovating the Oxfordshire watering hole, he has now opened the doors as The Farmer’s Dog.

Serving pints of Hawkstone and provided food from 100 per cent British ingredients, the pub started life to hug queues on Friday.

Yet a sign at the entry of pub details that two people are already banned despite it still being the opening weekend.

Labour Prime Minister Kier Starmer is banned from the venue but so is one of Clarkson’s friends.

James May, who has worked with Clarkson for 22 years and starred in Top Gear and The Grand Tour with him, is also barred.

Fans have pointed out the joke upon entering the pub and it led to many a wry smile and laugh throughout the weekend.
