I AM very surprised that the Councillor (Marc) Bayliss, the Worcestershire County Council highways cabinet member, has said there are no funds for a pedestrian crossing from the Priory Road car parks to ensure safer access to Malvern Splash, Priory Park and Malvern Theatres.
Earlier this year, the council provided significant funds for a number of Malvern roads to be resurfaced, many of which did not look as if they needed urgent repair.
Does this suggest that our county councillors see cars and lorries as more important than children and adults safely crossing this busy road to access the park, playground, sports centre and theatre?
