The Mayor's Bonanza made a return in support of Heartstart Malvern.

The event, held at Victoria Park on Bank Holiday Monday (August 26), was run by Malvern Town Council and had an afternoon packed with entertainment to raise money for the worthy cause.

The day raised an impressive £2,300.

The day featured live performances from bands, dance performances and an range of activities including zorbing, climbing walls and trampolines, all organised in support of the charity.

There was also a food and drink village, which was supported by community businesses.

Richard Vakis-Lowe, Heartstart Malvern charity lead, said: "Heartstart Malvern would like to say a huge a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Mayor's Bonanza.

"This includes everyone from Malvern Town Council, the local groups who provided the entertainment throughout the afternoon and stalls, and the most importantly everyone who attended the event despite the variable weather.

"It was an incredibly successful afternoon, and every penny collected will enable Heartstart Malvern to continue providing our free training and installing more defibrillators in the town.”

The money raised will go towards helping the charity continue its work in providing free training and installing defibrillators.
