A number of housing developments across the county are now progressing following planning approval.
With this key step in the process complete, property developers are now zoning in on bringing new homes into Worcestershire villages.
Here are the housing developments which have progressed in recent months.
40 new homes in Kempsey
Plans to develop 40 new homes on a site off Brookend Lane, in Kempsey, took a major step forward in May this year when property developers Cotswold Oak Ltd acquired the land.
Cotswold Oak Ltd confirmed that the site would have a mixture of market and affordable homes.
311 new homes near Lower Broadheath
Part of developer Bloor Homes' grand scheme to give Worcester an urban extension, its plans for 311 new homes at a site off Martley Road, near Lower Broadheath, were given a boost in May.
The developer has had outline planning permission for approximately three years, but Malvern Hills District Council gave further approvals to the designs and layout.
Nine new homes in Ombersley
In March, Apple Tree Walk Developments Ltd revealed plans to build nine new homes on Apple Tree Walk in Ombersley village. A planning application is yet to be submitted as the developer is refining its designs through feedback from the community.
372 new homes near Lower Broadheath
Only in July, Bloor Homes unveiled new plans for 372 homes and a new sports centre at another site off Martley Road near Lower Broadheath. Malvern Hills District Council are yet to approved or reject the plans, which will include 93 affordable homes for social rented and intermediate housing.
Through the plans, the multi-use indoor sports centre would be joined by two full-sized sports pitches.
Up to new 100 homes in Cleeve Prior
In May, Wychavon District Council gave outline planning permission for up to 100 homes to be built at the Wayside Caravan Park in Cleeve Prior, near Evesham.
The site has a previous history as a settlement for travellers and these approved plans could "breathe new life" into the village according to Cleeve Prior Parish councillors.
