POLICE have begun a crackdown to tackle 'dangerous' driving at a long-standing speeding hotspot in Malvern.
Spot checks will be carried out at Pickersleigh Avenue after numerous reports of speeding and anti-social driving in the area.
High-speed driving on the road has been on the police's radar for over a year, with complaints about speeding on Pickersleigh Avenue being reported as early as last May.
Police have previously taken to Pickersleigh Avenue armed with speed guns to address local residents concerns.

Insp Dave Wise of Malvern Safer Neighbourhood Team said the local policing team takes reports of speeding and anti-social driving seriously.
Mr Wise added: “We work closely with our Road Safety Team and other specialist departments, as well as with partner agencies including Worcestershire County Council with the objective of maintaining safety on our local roads.
“Link and Dyson Safer Neighbourhood Team periodically conduct speed surveys and speed enforcement in this area of Malvern in response to community concerns and to priorities highlighted by Malvern Town Council through the Local Policing Charter.
“Residents wishing to hear more information about road safety in their area can go to www.neighbourhoodmatters.co.uk and sign up for free to receive email alerts."
The latest announcement of police action was confirmed in a letter to Malvern MP Harriett Baldwin after she contacted them after receiving regular complaints.
Dame Baldwin welcomed the police's decision to take action after the worrying reports of dangerous driving.
She added: “In this instance, the worrying reports of dangerous driving have led to local police stepping in quickly to act and I expect to see higher police presence and spot checks in the area.
“Speeding drivers cause local people concerns and with the children still off at school, I am grateful that the police have agreed to keep a close eye on the issue during the summer break.
“I get regular complaints from local people about areas where there are speeding drivers and I immediately share these concerns with the Safer Roads Partnership which is responsible for monitoring driver behaviour."
Dame Baldwin added she would continue to speak to police and would be willing to consider other measures to help curb speeding should they be needed in the future.
