A driver has been fined after she was caught speeding at 'over 60mph' on the motorway near Worcester.
Alison Houghton was caught speeding by an automatic camera device on the M5 southbound near junction 8 (Strensham Services), near Worcester.
The 49-year-old had her case heard at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 8 when she was fined for exceeding a temporary 60mph maximum restriction.
Houghton of Gatis Street, Wolverhampton, was behind the wheel of a Nissan on December 15 last year.
The defendant was fined £72 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £28. No order was made for costs. A collection order was made, giving the court extra powers to recover the money owed.
Her driving record was also endorsed with three points. Her guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
