'DANGEROUS brickwork' on a railway bridge has forced the closure of a main road while repairs are carried out, causing delays for drivers and bus services.
The B4084 between Worcester and Pershore is closed from today until 6am on Sunday, August 18 at the railway overbridge near Worcestershire Parkway Station for brickwork repairs by Network Rail.
A spokesperson for First Buses: “Due to the closure of the B4084, all bus stops in between Stoulton, Worcestershire Parkway and Whittington will be omitted, until further notice. This is due to last until Sunday, August 18. We will of course update in due course.
“Due to dangerous brickwork found on the railway bridge. The B4084 is closed.
"The X50 service will be diverting in both directions via A4440, A44 and then Windmill Hill, where it will resume service at Caldewell Lodge.”
