PLANS to extend a house in a Malvern cul-de-sac have gone to appeal.

The owners of the detached house in Piers Close had wanted to build a two-storey side extension, a single-storey rear extension and put in a dormer window.

But the scheme was rejected by Malvern Hills District Council in June.

The council said the development “would not represent high quality design” and would create “visually dominant and incongruous features”.

The owners have now appealed that decision, so the final say on the matter now rests with a planning inspector.
