A tribute to one of the biggest UK rock bands of the 80s is heading to Malvern.

Money For Nothing will recreate the unique sound of Dire Straits for audiences.

The 80s rock band, which released six platinum albums, were renowned for their soaring guitar solos and distinctive riffs.

Their 1978 debut single, 'Sultans of Swing', from their self-titled first album, reached the heights of the top ten in the UK and US charts.

Later hits included tracks such as 'Money for Nothing', 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Twisting by the Pool', 'Private Investigations' and 'Walk of Life'.

Their most successful album, 'Brothers in Arms', sold over 30 million copies across the planet, and was the first to sell a million copies on CD.

According to the Guinness Book of British Hit Albums, the bandhave spent over 1,100 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, the fifth most to date.

Classic Rock magazine called the band "the biggest British rock band of the 80s", having set a record for their 1985-86 world tour in Australasia.

At 7.45pm on Saturday, July 13, Money for Nothing will take to the Forum Theatre stage for audiences.
