The Dolly Parton musical 'Here You Come Again' will be coming to Malvern Theatres this July.

The musical is a production by Simon Friend Entertainment and Leeds Playhouse, and it links all of Ms Parton's biggest hits together in a lively new musical comedy.

The UK premiere of 'Here You Come Again' took place in Leeds in June, and is now embarking on a significant UK tour.

Aidan Cutler and Charlotte Elisabeth Yorke join the cast alongside the star and co-writer, Tricia Paoluccio, who takes the role of 'Dolly'. Also in the cast is Steven Webb, best recognised from productions such as 'Oliver!' and 'Book of Mormon', portraying the character 'Kevin', a 40-year-old comedian.

Ms Paoluccio co-wrote Here You Come Again with the multi-Emmy award-winning comedy writer and songwriter Bruce Vilanch and director Gabriel Barre.

Additional material for the UK run was contributed by Jonathan Harvey, a British TV and theatre writer whose credits include Coronation Street.

Richard John will be the musical supervisor, Jordan Li-Smith the musical director, Kevin Oliver Jones will join the band on bass, Alex Crawford on guitar and Ben Scott on drums.

The show has had several successful runs across the United States before making its UK arrival.

Here You Come Again narrates the story of a die-hard fan whose envisioned version of international icon Dolly Parton assists him through challenging times.

The central character, Kevin, separates from his long-term boyfriend, Jeremy, and quarantines in the attic bedroom of his childhood home in Yorkshire.

As he delves into his past through nostalgic belongings and cherished albums, Kevin recalls how the songs saw him through previous tough times, and he hopes they will repeat the feat.

With Ms Parton's characteristic wit, humour, and charm, the musical is said to explore themes of life, love and resilience.

The tour is set to continue after its Leeds premiere, moving to other UK locations, including a stint in Malvern.

The show will come to Malvern Theatres from Tuesday, July 16 to Saturday, July 20.
