A Worcestershire plant company has won Best New Plant at the National Plant Show.
The Bransford Webbs Plant Company, a leading UK wholesale grower of garden plants, with roots in Bransford, took top honours at the show held recently at Stoneleigh Park, near Coventry.
The company, revered for annually producing two million noteworthy ornamental plants across its 15-hectare nursery, is a valued supplier to garden centres nationwide.
The New Plant Award, contingent upon the entry's exclusivity in the UK market in the current year, sheds light on the crème de la crème of UK horticulture.
Judgment is made by an expert panel, inclusive of representatives from the RHS, garden centres and Michael Perry, also known as Mr Plant Geek.
David Chilvers, sales and marketing director, shared some thoughts following the company's success.
He said: "Winning a national award such as this highlights the work we do to introduce the best new varieties to gardeners across the UK.
"On a business level the award will help boost our sales next year, securing and increasing job opportunities for people in the Worcestershire area."
This victory serves to solidify Bransford Webbs Plant Company's position in the UK's horticultural landscape.
