VETERANS and dignitaries gathered in Malvern early on D-Day to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.
People gathered on the Great Malvern Library Grounds at 6.30am to hold the poignant D-Day landings commemoration.
The commemoration was led by the Great Malvern Priory Church and Malvern Hills Veterans Breakfast Club.
The service included numerous speeches and poems to remember the Normandy landings.
The Malvern Hills District Council chairman, Cllr Daniel Walton, was in attendance at the event.
Cllr Walton said it was a good service of remembrance.
