WALKERS scaled a popular county location to support an important personal cause.
Twenty-two people, many living with heart disease, raised more than £1,600 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
They walked either a five or 10-mile route across the top of the Malvern Hills.
The group was made up of people who regularly attend Jenny Davis’ specialist exercise classes which run throughout the county, including in Malvern at the town’s rugby club and in Worcester in Warndon, St Peter’s and Claines.
For many, the achievement of walking either five or 10 miles was even more of an accomplishment as they have recovered from a variety of cardiac issues such as bypass surgery, heart failure diagnosis, heart valve replacements and angina.
They all attend Broadwas-based Jenny’s classes which not only build strength and cardio fitness but also confidence as well.
Jenny said: “It was beautiful up there and challenging in places but everyone kept going and completed their distance.”
Her classes, open to the public, are a way to improve people’s health and well-being.
