A FALLING tree 'narrowly missed hitting a school bus' after blocking a road in Malvern.
Wells Road in Malvern was shut yesterday (Wednesday) at around 4.45pm after a tree fell and blocked the road.
The incident, which took place near St Wulstan's Church on the A449, caused major traffic delays.
It is believed that a school bus was narrowly missed by the fallen tree.
However, Malvern Gazette has contacted schools across Malvern but has not been able to confirm which school bus was involved in the incident.
At the time, West Mercia Police posted on X (formally Twitter): "Please be aware that due to a police incident, there is a road closure in place A449 junction A4104 Little Malvern.
"This may cause increase traffic in the area.
"Please find an alternate route."
Malvern Gazette has contacted National Highways for comment.
