UPTON upon Severn’s Lower High Street toilets are getting a clean-up and redecoration in time for the summer and the festivals.
County Councillor Martin Allen, who has been campaigning for something to be done about the toilets said: “I am really happy, after a very long campaign I have succeeded in getting Malvern Hills District Council to titivate and redecorate the Lower High Street toilets.
“Although it’s not the most earth-shattering news, it’s been a long slog to get some of the improvements I believe are needed.
“It’s just a paint through and replacement of broken tiles, which will get us through the Summer and the wonderful festivals that come to Upton. However, in the long term a major overhaul and full refurbishment is still needed.
“It’s great to see Upton looking smart and welcoming.”
