A MAJOR water leak left homes in Malvern without water.
Residents and businesses in the area were left without water for most of yesterday (Friday).
The issue proved widespread across the area, with Bromsberrow, Colwall and Upper Wyche among those affected.
People took to social media to try and establish if others had been affected by the water leak.
Colwall Park Hotel, Bar & Restaurant were left without any water supply yesterday afternoon but revealed it was "short-lived".
A spokesperson said: "It wasn't much of an issue, it lasted for a few hours but we were pleased when it came back on.
"When had prepared for the worst in case it was off for much longer - it was a blessing we were ok.
"We informed residents who were very understanding as it was out of our control.
"We purchased some water just in case it went on longer but luckily we were fine and there no complaints."
Severn Trent were dispatched to try and resolve the issue, whcih turned out to be a damaged water pipe in Bromsberrow Heath.
The water supply chain confirmed all properties were back on supply and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
Luke Coles, Water Networks Regional Lead at Severn Trent, said: “We’re really sorry for any supply interruptions experienced in the Malvern area as a result of a third-party damage to a water pipe on Beach Lane in Bromsberrow Heath.
“Our teams worked hard to isolate the pipe, make the repair, and get everyone back on supply as soon as possible - all properties were back on supply as of last night.
“Again, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused, and thank everyone for their patience and understanding as our teams worked in the area.”
