A MOTORIST could have his vehicle seized after a notice was issued when police caught him driving "dangerously".
The 18-year-old was caught "pulling wheelies" in Malvern Link during a busy time of the day, which led to a Section 59 Warning Notice being issued.
The notice, which will last 12 months, will mean that if he is caught driving any vehicle in a similar dangerous manner again, the police will seize it.
PCSO Kevin Tudge saw the driver "pulling wheelies" on Worcester Road in Malvern Link at 7.14pm on April 9.
He said police have seen a lot of incidents on the roads where young people are hurt or even killed, sometimes through careless actions such as this.
PCSO Tudge said: "The male was witnessed on his motorbike riding on Worcester Road in Malvern Link at 7.14pm on Tuesday, April 9, pulling wheelies through the centre of Malvern Link.
"The area was busy with road and foot traffic at the time; this manner of riding is dangerous and could have led to the rider and others being injured by the rider's actions.
"I have since issued the Section 59 warning, which will last for 12 months, meaning if any person/s continues to drive the motorbike in a similar manner or the man drives any motor vehicle in a similar manner in the next 12 months, the vehicle may be seized by police.
"We see a lot of incidents on our roads whereby particularly young people are hurt or even killed, sometimes through careless actions such as this.
"We recognise that most young people drive responsibly and would encourage others to do the same.
"I have since issued the Section 59 warning, which will last for 12 months, meaning if any person/s continues to drive the motorbike in a similar manner or the man drives any motor vehicle in a similar manner in the next 12 months, the vehicle may be seized by police."
