THE girls have joined forces with the boys after a town group was closed down.
Following the loss of 7th Malvern Girls’ Brigade, 1st Malvern Boys’ Brigade has created a Girls’ Association to work alongside them.
It has enabled them to join in with their activities.
The girls have now received their new uniforms which have been purchased through donations from members of Malvern Baptist Church.
The children enjoy a number of activities.
Most recently they were learning about Easter and had an egg-rolling competition with the top four claiming chocolate prizes.
There will be a coffee morning to raise money for the brigade on Saturday, May 4 at Lyttelton Rooms, Church Street, between 10am and 12 noon.
This will support the children for their camping trips and outings.
Anyone interested in joining the brigade can check out its Facebook page which has links for contacts.
It meets at Dyson Perrins Academy, Yates Hay Road, on Friday nights in term time, welcoming boys and girls from five to 18 years of age.
