A DEAD dog was found abandoned in a stream.
The Dutch Shepherd had been abandoned in a plastic tub next to the stream in Eckington Road, Bredon.
It had suffered severe injuries, including head and leg wounds, and a large amount of blood was in the tub with the dog.
The RSPCA has appealed for information after a member of the public found the animal on February 17.
RSPCA inspector Richard Carr said no one had come forward with information about how the dog, which wasn't microchipped, came to be in this location.
It is believed the canine may have been seen running around the village as a stray in the past.
RSPCA inspector Richard Carr said: "We are concerned about the unusual circumstances surrounding the discovery of this poor dog. The dog suffered horrific injuries and was dumped in a plastic tub.
"We would ask anyone with information to contact our appeal line on 0300 123 8018."
The dog was found last month.
