A care home in Malvern is now host to a public access defibrillator.
Elgar Court Care Home's new device, which is the 34th public access defibrillator in Malvern, will boost emergency resources in the area.
Donated by Malvern defence and technology company QinetiQ, the lifesaving device is located on an external wall by Elgar Court’s reception where the AED code will always be accessible to the community on St Andrews Road.
The device was launched by Heartstart Malvern with representatives from QinetiQ, Elgar Court, and Heartstart Malvern.
Sarah Cadwallader, general manager for Elgar Court, said: "As a new care home, Elgar Court is extremely keen to do what we can to be a key support to our local community.
"We had no hesitation in allowing Heartstart Malvern to install their 34th defibrillator on our building as we know how important it is to have public access defibrillators available in the community."
