A MAN has been arrested after police spotted a suspected shoplifter on patrol.
PCSO Kevin Tudge and PCSO Karen Watson were on foot patrol on Church Street in Great Malvern when they saw a suspected shoplifter in Iceland.
The two then pursued the man and arrested him on Clarence Road in Malvern.
The man remains in custody.
A spokesperson for Malvern SNT said: "On Wednesday, (February 7) at 2.40pm PCSO Kevin Tudge and PCSO Karen Watson were on foot patrol on Church Street in Great Malvern when they sighted a shoplifter in Iceland who made off from the area.
"The PCSOs were able to pursue the offender and liaise directly with officers.
"The male was caught and arrested within minutes on Clarence Road in Malvern.
"The male was remanded in custody."
